About Us

In response to the Chief Executive’s Policy Address in 2009 that the self-financing higher education sector is an important component of education services and has room for expansion, Hang Seng School of Commerce (HSSC) has formulated a plan to provide opportunities for local students to pursue degree education. With this vision and the experience of offering post-secondary education for over 30 years, HSSC has set up Hang Seng Management College (HSMC), a new post-secondary college registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance Cap 320 to offer programmes of degree level. Since September 2010, HSMC has launched five degree programmes, namely, Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) (BBA), Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Bachelor of Translation with Business (Honours) (BTB), Bachelor of Journalism and Communication (Honours) (BJC) and Bachelor of Arts in English (Honours) (BA(English)). All programmes have been officially accredited and approved by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).
Hang Seng Management College aspires to thrive with the strength of its predecessor, Hang Seng School of Commerce. HSSC was founded in 1980 with funding from Hang Seng Bank, the S. H. Ho Foundation and several Hang Seng Bank directors. Since the 1980s it has become a prestigious and elite business school and a pioneering and leading provider of the Diploma of Business Administration, Associate Degree in Business Administration and related business programmes.
HSMC is currently embarking on a long term development plan with the goal of becoming a leading private university. With the concerted efforts of the College community and the professional advice from the Architectural Team, we aim to build a private university which will offer state-of-the-art learning, teaching and research facilities in a high-technology environment to meet the needs and demands of quality education in the 21st century.
