Message from the Chairman of the Board of Governors There is a saying that “Perseverance is crucial to learning; once the foundation is laid, the proper way appears.” To exemplify the spirit of “Scholarship and Perseverance,” as stated in our college motto, we have been encouraging our students to strive for both academic excellence and self-cultivation. We have been committed to education. Since the establishment of Hang Seng School of Commerce (HSSC) in 1980, we have been offering professional and quality business programmes to young people who would like to further their studies. This year, a truly significant and joyful time for us all, not only marks the 30th anniversary of HSSC but also witnesses the founding of Hang Seng Management College (HSMC). Over the past three decades, we have made remarkable achievements in various areas, including advanced level education and business education at the tertiary level. Our success lies in the great support of Hang Seng Bank and the S. H. Ho Foundation as well as the efforts of our present and former supervisors, governors, presidents and staff. I would therefore like to extend my deepest gratitude to all of them. With our traditional excellence in education, we aspire to provide high-quality degree programmes in business and educate future leaders. We are ready to work towards the goal of becoming an excellent private university.
