Welcome to the Homepage of School of Business, Hang Seng Management College.

Thirty years ago, Dr. S.H. Ho and a group of Directors of the Hang Seng Bank, made a visionary move by donating the Hang Seng School of Commerce (HSSC). The philosophy of HSSC is similar to that of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City. In 1859, Mr. Peter Cooper, an American industrialist, donated the Cooper Union with the aim to provide quality higher education to young people. Recognizing that not everyone can afford to attend higher education, Cooper Union does not require students to pay tuition fees and all the operating costs of the Cooper Union are financed by the endowment funds set up by Mr. Peter Cooper. After a hundred years’ efforts, Cooper Union is now a well established private university in the US. Many US Presidents (Lincoln, Grant, Cleveland, Taft, Roosevelt, Wilson, Clinton and Obama) have made speeches at the Cooper Union. From the experiences of HSSC and Cooper Union, we can conclude that businessmen with great corporate social responsibility are universal.

Building on the legendary success of HSSC, Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) is determined to provide quality higher education to the young people. Student-centered, Quality Teaching and Contribution to Society are the core values of our teaching philosophies.

Nowadays we have offered undergraduate programmes in Business Administration and Supply Chain Management. Within our Bachelor of Business Administration program, students can choose either Accounting, Banking and Finance or Marketing as their concentration area. Looking forward, the Business School will review the curriculum and offer more choices to students so that they can always find their study rewarding.
