Dean's Message

Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) has been striving to provide outstanding commercial education to society. In order to match up to the ideals of higher education and the market need, the College provides new and innovative programmes and curricula and a modernized environment with which to develop high level talented students. The programme of Bachelor of Journalism and Communication has been approved by the HKCAAVQ in 2011. On behalf of the School of Communication, I would like to extend my warm welcome to all students of the Journalism and Communication.

To cope with the enormous needs of professionals in Business Journalism and Corporate Communication, the School provides students with specialized, business oriented knowledge in journalism and communication, as well as general education to help progress and develop their various aspects of life.

The School of Communication has renowned academics and experienced staff in the fields of journalism and media. Most of them are Ph.D. degree holders and have been educated both locally and abroad. As educators of Journalism and Communication, we have the obligation of educating and training the minds of talented media professionals to improve their social awareness and critical thinking skills.

To offer high quality teaching, state-of-the-art facilities such as TV Production Room, Control Room, Sound Studio and Editing Suite have been constructed and put in place. With the strong academic team and top standard facilities, we hope our students will not only progress in their academic studies, but develop a global outlook, creative and critical thinking, life-long learning, biliteracy and trilingualism, leadership, and become competent professionals during their studies in the BJC.
