First BJC Advisory Committee Meeting
The first BJC Advisory Committee Meeting was held on 3rd April 2012. The committee was composed of five experienced professors and media professionals including Prof. Paul Lee, Dean of Social Science, CUHK; Mr. Ronald Chiu, Executive Director, i-Cable News Limited; Mr. Garmen Chan, Communications and Marketing Executive Director, West Kowloon Cultural District Authority; Mr. Chan Cho Biu, Executive Director, Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings Limited and Ms. May Chan, Director (News and Public Affairs) of the Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited. Apart from summarizing the activities organized and students’ performances, Prof. Scarlet Tso, Dean, School of Communication, shared the development plan of the School with the Committee. The Advisory Committee provided valuable opinions on training students to be journalism and communication professionals which were beneficial to the development of the Programme.
