Personal Growth and Counseling Centre

The establishment of the Personal Growth and Counseling Centre aims at facilitating student growth and development, as well as helping students to overcome the difficulties and problems they encounter in daily life. Through counseling, students can gain better self-understanding, build up confidence, develop potentials and promote physical and psychological wellness. In addition to the counseling service, the Personal Growth and Counseling Centre also provides a wide variety of services, including personal development workshops, character/personality tests, leadership training, community service opportunities and so on.

The Personal Growth and Counseling Centre provides a wide range of services as follows:
- Counseling
- Consultation
- Psychological assessment
- Personal growth and development workshops
- Adventure-based training
- Training activities (including volunteer training)
- Community services
The Personal Growth and Counseling Centre is located at M612 and M614, 6th Floor, the Block M. Students may walk in or make appointments with the college counselors during office hours. All counseling information will be kept in strict confidentiality.
All services rendered by the Personal Growth and Counseling Centre to current students are free of charge. The following activities will be charged at an affordable price or according to the fees set by external organizations:
- Assessment or tests offered by international organizations.
- Groups or large-scale programs which are jointly organized by the Personal Growth and Counseling Centre and external organizations.
- Special cases and/or family members of current students who need counseling service that have to be referred to professional agencies.
It is the Centre’s policy that our clients’ personal particulars and the information collected in the course of counseling will be kept in strict confidentiality. Without a client’s prior consent, counselors will not disclose his/her information to a third person unless there is a threat to the lives of the client or other people. In such cases, the counselors may inform the client’s family members and people of concern to protect their personal safety.
